Sacred Heart of Jesus

Conversion

Why Conversion
• A turn away from sin and a radical re-orientation to Jesus
• Interior change affects everything
• I begin to yield control of my life to Jesus. I am no longer defined by my sin

From Scripture and Tradition
“The movement of return to God, called conversion and repentance, entails sorrow for and abhorrence of sins committed, and the firm purpose of sinning no more in the future. Conversion touches the past and the future and is nourished by hope in God’s mercy”
Catechism of the Catholic Church #1490

“A clean heart create for me, God; renew within me a steadfast spirit.”
Psalm 51

Nothing is more practical than finding God, than falling in Love in a quite absolute, final way. What you are in love with, what seizes your imagination, will affect everything. It will decide what will get you out of bed in the morning, what you do with your evenings, how you spend your weekends, what you read, whom you know, what breaks your heart, and what amazes you with joy and gratitude. Fall in Love, stay in love, and it will decide everything.
Arupe Prayer

Thinking Out Loud
“I start saying yes to the things I said no to and no to the things I said yes to”

Summary
Meeting Jesus causes me to change.
